In short: Cereal Ride has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your location, speed and ride data stay on your iPhone. We don't collect it, and we never receive it.
This policy explains how the Cereal Ride app for iPhone ("Cereal Ride", "the app", "we") handles information when you use it.
We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts and does not send your information to any server run by us.
To work, the app uses the following, all of which is processed locally on your iPhone:
If you unlock Pro, the app can keep a history of your rides. For each ride this includes speed readings, times, distance, the route (a series of GPS points) and height climbed. This history is saved only on your device, is never sent to us, and can be deleted at any time from the History tab. Deleting the app also removes it. Without Pro, your live ride numbers are discarded when a ride ends.
If you choose to share a ride, the image or video is created on your device and only leaves it when you pick where to send it (for example Messages or Instagram). Once you share it, the app or person you send it to handles it under their own policies. The share image can hide the first and last 200 metres of your route so your home or workplace isn't shown. This option is on by default.
Cereal Ride Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details or Apple ID. Apple may process purchase information under its own privacy policy. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The app uses only Apple frameworks (Core Location, Core Motion, MapKit, StoreKit and Photos). It contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Map images for the route share card are produced with Apple Maps, and Apple may process data in line with its own privacy policy.
The app does not track you across other apps or websites and does not show ads.
Cereal Ride is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. Everything the app stores is on your device, and you control it: you can delete individual rides or all history in the app, or remove everything by deleting the app. You can also turn off location or Motion & Fitness access at any time in iPhone Settings, although the app needs location access to work. If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights under data protection law, and you can contact us with any question about them.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a significant change, we will update it in the app and on this page.
